What I do

Selling a business is usually the biggest sale an owner ever makes. My job is to find the right buyer, keep things confidential while we do it, and get the deal through to settlement without surprises.

I work with owner-operated businesses of all kinds: workshops and trades, food and hospitality, franchises, cleaning and service businesses, and businesses that come with their own freehold. Because I also sell and lease commercial property, I can look after the building as well as the business when the two go together.

How a sale with me works

1. A confidential chat. We talk about what you want, your timing, and what buyers will want to see. No obligation, no signboard.

2. Getting ready. We pull the numbers, the lease and the paperwork together so buyers and their advisers can say yes quickly. My guide to preparing your business for sale covers the basics.

3. Finding buyers. A full public campaign, or a quiet approach to vetted buyers through the War Room. Buyers sign an NDA before they see anything sensitive.

4. Through to settlement. Offers, due diligence, contracts and handover. I stay with it until the keys change hands.
